You are responding to a mass casualty event. You are the only medical provider on scene with your combat medic bag and have 4 units of blood at the role one aid station. Your team of 2 medics and 1 physician will return in 10 to 15 minutes. The nearest surgical facility is 1 hour away. You estimate 5 to 10 casualties need assessment. This scenario is a guided introduction to the SALT triage process. You will not be assessed on the speed of your treatment. The primary learning objective is to assess an unresponsive, non-breathing casualty and to practice assigning a RED (Immediate) tag, and to understand what minimal interventions are appropriate before moving to the next casualty. The estimated time to complete this scenario is 10 minutes. This scenario occurs in the Tactical Field Care Phase. Equipment Available: Combat Medic Bag.
